- National Road Safety Foundation The National Road Safety Foundation, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3)non-profit charitable organization dedicated to reducing accidents, death and disability on our nation’s highways by promoting safe driving habits through greater public awareness.
- SAFER Car.gov another excellent site for checking the safety of the vehicle you already own – or are looking to buy. How would your vehicle stand up to a collision? Check here!
- Insurance Institute for Highway Safety is an independent, nonprofit, scientific and educational organization dedicated to reducing the losses — deaths, injuries, and property damage — from crashes on the nation’s highways. Excellent web site!
- Stop Impaired Driving Despite the tireless efforts of thousands of advocates, impaired drivers continue to kill someone every 30 minutes, nearly 50 people a day, and almost 18,000 citizens a year. NHTSA and its partners are working together to put a stop to these deadly statistics.
- National Highway Traffic Safety Administration NHTSA is responsible for reducing deaths, injuries and economic losses resulting from motor vehicle crashes. This is accomplished by setting and enforcing safety performance standards for motor vehicles and motor vehicle equipment, and through grants to state and local governments to enable them to conduct effective local highway safety programs.

- TEEN Web Site Sacramento – Teen drivers and their parents have a comprehensive new resource for information on getting and staying behind the wheel safely, as the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) unveils a helpful, user-friendly Web site devoted specifically to the unique needs of young drivers: TEEN WebAttention parents, educators and teens. A shocking and deadly trend is when uninexperienced teen sneak out after mom and/or dad have gone to bed – but they’re taking the family car – driving illegally without a drivers license. - Childrens Safety Network The Children’s Safety Network is composed of several resource centers funded by the Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. CSN provides technical assistance, training, and resources to MCH and other injury prevention professionals in an extensive effort to reduce the burden of injury and violence to our nation’s children and adolescents. CSN works with state and local departments of public health, maternal and child health (MCH) directors and staff, and injury prevention and control program directors and staff.
